On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijhar in the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada, a minute's silence was observed and a minute's silence was observed. A mock court was set up outside the Indian Consulate in Vancouver. In it, slogans were raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an effigy was blown up. India has given a strong response to Canada on the glorification of terrorists in the Parliament of Canada. India has targeted the growing extremism in Canada for years by commemorating the anniversary of the Air India flight Kanishka bombing. The Indian Consulate in Vancouver has planned to hold a commemorative event on June 23 to commemorate the Kanishka plane crash. The consulate wrote on the social media platform, "India is at the forefront of countering the menace of terrorism and is working with all countries to tackle this global menace."
